"Heelies"

The person who invented these things should be shot. Parents who buy them for their kids need to have their heads examined, then shot.

What in the world makes these parents think that it's o.k. to send their kids off to school and take them into the grocery store or mall in rollerskates?

"Well, they don't use them in school" some may whine, but give me a fuggin break! You know that the minute your kid goes into someplace like the bathroom at school, and when they think that NO ONE is looking, those sneaky little bastards have their wheels out. You know they do "Mr and Mrs I Parent with my head in the sand"

I secretly watch these kids and hope they will run across a little pebble and fall. Everytime I get bumped into one of your bratty kids in the grocery store and they look at me like I'm at fault I want to hunt you down and slap your fuggin face.

Shoes + wheels= rollerskates. Get it? Wearing roller skates into stores is just not cool.

Next time, use your hard earned money to buy some common sense instead, because apparently, you have none.

Omigosh...have you read Heidi Swapp's blog? Her kids were riding their heelys at the airport. That would call for a bitch-slapping right there. This posting is located at this link:

I read somewhere that those things are seriously horrible for your kid's spine. The human body was not meant to cart itself around with its weight on its heels.

I hate these too (I had my neice with me and didnt know she had them on and she "floated" away in Target. I questioned my friggin' sanity when I saw it. I had no idea what they were (I don't watch or read fashion mags)

Add to this those stupid shoes that light up when you walk. The are horrible pollutants (do any of you open the shoes and take out the batteries for recycling before you throw them away??) I didnt think so!. And velcro shoes are okay for elderly or impaired but young kids today have no clue how to tie a bow anymore!

Yep, I hate them too!

BTW, I LOVE the new layout of your blog. It is so much easier to read and follow today.

I went to that link and that lady is a jackass! She should be so proud that she drove everyone crazy at the airport! Keep bragging about it!

I hate those wheeled shoes too. In stores kids aren't watching where they are going...someone is going to get hurt. I agree, parents need to make sure their kid only wears those things where you can rollerblade: not at school, not at the mall, not in public places with others in the way.

I agree completely. I totally just want to stick my foot out and trip them.
I had my 2 year old daughter with me at a mall one day and a kid going backwards on those ran into her. Of course no apology, so I followed him back to where his parents were, and asked the mom if she knew what her son was doing. She was actually quite mortified. The son had just had a birthday and was at the mall to buy a videogame, or at least that is what he told his mom. He bought the shoes instead, after she told him he couldn't. It was hilarious. She dragged him by the ear to the store and made him return them. Sweet justice!
