Music...
We all like music but that doesn't mean I like your music. Get it off your blog as a widget...am I seriously supposed to think that you are sitting on your blog all day listening to those carefully selected "masterpieces"? You're not and don't expect that the rest of us want to get a blast when we visit. We especially don't want to hear your country faves, Christian rock or hip-hop beats!

I agree! Especially if you are on late at night, just about scares the crap out of you!
How about just disable the auto start and if for some strange reason someone wants to listen to your crap then they can click play!
If you like your music so much you should have a MySpace, everyone had music there, and someone knows to expect it when they get to your site!
Ya who sits there and listens to that all day?
I'll admit, I was one that had music on my site. Didn't really think that it bothered anyone until I saw a few remarks on a friend's blog. Sorry! I've made some changes, and gave the option for visitors to play if they wanted to listen to my sounds. Well, it's good to know.
I have over 200 stamping blogs on GR and not a one with music. Here I am at 2 AM up because I cannot sleep. Family is all sound asleep and something comes blaring out of the computer. ARghhh! I hate other people's music anyway. The chances I will actually like what YOU ARE PLAYING TO ME is about 1 in 30.
I am also an insomniac but I like quiet, so I have always kept my speakers off since the very first laptop I had didnt have speakers.(I am dating myself to the early 90's here-remember DOS and Windows 3.1) I just leave them off until I need to hear something so music on sites doesnt bother me as I dont know its there until I see it. I personally want to put 2 songs on mine. Chariots of Fire and Still Crazy After All These Years. anybody got a good way for me to do that with option to start the player manually?
When you set up your player there is an option for you to select if it "launches" or not right away when your site is entered, I am not sure if I am using the right word but you will know it when you see it.
I keep my computer on "mute". I like the quiet and don't want to listen to others' music.
I used to put music on my blog but removed it quickly when I realized that I found it annoying on other peoples blogs. Instead, if I find a song I really like and feel that I need to share I embed the music video off of YouTube and give the people the option to press the play button. But I don't put it in my sidebar!
