Hey You...ya you there with the self portrait you took in your bathroom mirror with your camera phone for your "I wanna look like a thug" myspace profile..... you look stupid.
I hate seeing peoples pics they take of themselves in the mirrors...like it's a flattering picture? I think not. Dumb dumb dumb.
What I hate more is seeing my kids friends (the girls) taking them with slutty pouty faces or their hands contorted in something that can only be described as a gang symbol of some sort. I tell you what, if you portray yourself looking like a gangbanger for job interviews, you won't get a job anywhere. Since when did it become cool to look like gun totin' gangsta instead of a respectable young person?
I'm a normal mom, wife, friend and I have a myspace account, and I wanna be your friend. Perhaps you are an old school friend I've not seen in 20 years, and yes, I am curious to see what you look like...has your face changed like mine has? Have you aged more gracefully than me?
I don't want to see full length pics of you in something skanky, I hate it, you look stupid, you look slutty and some pervmo is probably doing something gross on the other end while looking at your stupid picture.

I second that point about the slutty looking girls, my son is 14 and I have peered over his shoulder when he is chatting away and I am SHOCKED at the way these girls look. Laid back with their head tilted to one side with a pouty "come-hither" pose. It looks as if they are auditioning for Porn.

I had a MySpace before my kids did as I was looking for a friend I had not seen in 30 years (no luck, even with a probation record, she has managed to go underground) but when I saw the stuff my grand daughter had on her page (she is 18 now) and the fact my grandson was passing himself off as 20 (and he is 13) and mom, a cop letting it go as no big deal, I got off. I deleted all my friends and just left my name in case Peggy goes looking someday. But I havent gone back since I started my blog. Scary shit on that place.
You know what the sad part is? Their parents don't even know it! Either that, or they are following exactly in their footsteps.
